Disability Group

A group of tenants set up the Disability Group to represent and support residents with disabilities and their carers and in particular to:

a)      Promote awareness of the difficulties facing some people with disabilities.

b)      Monitor Grwp Gwalia's Disability Policy and encourage best practice within the Association.

c)      Publish and distribute information about sources of help and other appropriate information

One of the main focuses of the Group over 2008 was to compile The Signpost - an information booklet on the many services that are available to help disabled people, from help with completed benefit forms to free services and advice services. The Signpost's first edition was distributed to all Tai Cymdogaeth residents via the Winter 2008 News 'n' Views Magazine.
