Dreamscheme
The Dreamscheme is a community based project that works with children and young people to carry out some simple jobs in the area and gain points, which they can then spend on trips. The aim is to give children something positive to work towards during the school breaks and to help them develop a sense of being valued and to mix with other children.
Gwalia set up Aberdulais Dreamscheme in 2007 and has worked closely with the community to help make it an even better place to live - for example if there is a lot of rubbish around a litter pick is arranged or if fences need painting Aberdulais Dreamscheme volunteers can come to the rescue.
