Involving Tenants
Grwp Gwalia Cyf seeks to develop sustainable communities that residents feel they belong to and can contribute to. As a tenant or resident of Tai Cymdogaeth, you can make a difference to your community. You can have a real say in the services Tai Cymdogaeth delivers to you.
If you are interested in getting involved or would like to contact your local group please contact Claire Bates - Community Liaison Worker on 01792 460609 or 07816 937468 or e-mail her. She is able to assist with the development of tenant participation and to support tenants wishing to express their views on the services that we provide.
Gwalia aims to develop thriving communities by:
- empowering tenants - giving opportunities for tenants to access training to build their skills and confidence so that they can meaningfully participate in making decisions about their community.
- promoting social inclusion - adopting anti-poverty and anti- racist policies and challenging discrimination.
- promoting self help and providing practical assistance to tenants - in the form of grant aid, expertise, training, equipment, facilities etc.
- adopting an enabling role - involving other service providers in meeting the needs of our tenants.
- sponsoring and managing projects - providing managerial and financial support.
- creating employment opportunities for tenants - involving tenants in the services we provide as landlords.
- changing the attitudes of staff, partners, contractors tenants and the public - investing in communities and acknowledging them as an asset rather than a problem.
